Sham 69 are an English punk band that formed in Hersham in 1975.
Although not as commercially successful as many of their contemporaries, albeit with a greater number of chart entries, Sham 69 has been a huge musical and lyrical influence on the Oi! and streetpunk genres. The band allegedly derived their name from a piece of football-related graffiti that founder Jimmy Pursey saw on a wall, which originally said Walton and Hersham '69 but had partly faded away.

Tracks 1 to 3 were recorded following the released of their "I Don't Wanna" EP for Step Forward, and were demos to present to major record companies
Tracks 4 to 6 later apppeared on "The Adventures Of Hersham Boys" under names and lyrics - "TV Times" became "Lost On Highway 46", "Johnny's On The Street Again" became "Joey's On The Street" whilst "Broken Dreams" became "Fly Dark Angel"
Tracks 7 and 10 later surfaced as the single "Unite And Win"
Tracks 8, 9, 11 to 14 all appeared in one form or another on "The Game". "Freeman" became "Simon", "So Long To Find Out" became "In And Out", "Money Don't Make It Right" became "Human Zoo" and "Everything's Alright" turned to "Tell The Children"
Tracks 15 to 18 were originally inteded for inclusion on the sound-track to the "Quadrophenia" film. They were never re-recorded by Sham 69
